Like I said.....the Kimmich we have today is 100% different than the Kimmich we initially signed (and whose contract is still on our books). Strip away what you know of Kimmich and ask yourself if this is that implausible:

-20 years old
-Has only played 2nd and 3rd division football
-Paid same amount as other young players on the team

Seem that far out still?

Have you considered the possibility that maybe his is happy with just €1000 per week? Maybe he doesn't want any more money and he is happy the way he is.

Anyway, it's not that hard to improve his contract, is it? :P

Yes he's getting more than 1k, maybe having some bonus for goal/assist, winning games or shirt sales...

But I think his wage is still way low because at the time we signed him, we didn't know if he could grow up as expected or failed like many other players like Petersen, Usami, sosa, Donovan... to name a few

I believe he'll get what he wants in the next season, no matter how it turns out this season as he's already a proven player internationally. I expect him to be given a raise up to 100k/week or less. No more than that.

Kimmich right now have the lowest wages in the team except U19 players.

A contract is a contract but more you wait more others clubs will be ready to propose him crazy money.

It's now Bayern need to give him a €7M/year contract like they did for Alaba in 2013.
Bayern 3-3-3-1 build-up under Heynckes :
Neuer - Boateng Hummels Thiago - Kimmich Vidal Alaba - Robben Müller James - Lewandowski
Neuer- Boateng Vidal Hummels- Kimmich Martinez Alaba- Robben James Ribéry- Lewandowski

Bayern have every right not to increase Kimmich's contract, BUT it gives the wrong message to our youths who figure that if they try hard they won't be rewarded financially.

Can't wait to see him grow under Heynckes. I think Jupp can take him into his stride the same way he helped mold Kroos.

Perhaps Alaba too. IMO Alaba progressed wonderfully in his first two years with Pep but started to slow down or perhaps even regress in his 3rd. So I'm hoping Jupp gets Alaba back to form. And IMO Jupp really helped Alaba to take the step to the 'next level' so I hope the same is true of Kimmich. Or Bernat!

I think Alaba already stalled in his second year. Part of it, I think, was the constant shifting of his position.
