False.

You do what is necessary to win the game. If that means benching someone I don't care how much he cost.

I agree Javi should play but the fee we paid for him has absolutely nothing to do with that.

Indeed. Javi Martinez will be an essential part in dominating and dismantling future opponents with our possession oriented stile of play.

He'll play because he's a great player.

OUCH

From what I heard from today's CL game, Javi played really well and he pairs extremely well with Schweini, allowing the former to move forward and open up attacks more. 3 goals in 3 matches already, I think allowing Basti more freedom is definitely good for us, something that Javi is doing for us atm :D

On the other hand, Gus seems to make a mistake in the build up of Valencia's goal. With Kroos and Muller on fire, it is more likely that Kroos stays as CAM at the moment (with rotation to fend off the fatigues). So our choice is either Schweini-Martinez or Schweini-Gustavo. And let's not forget Can and Tymo or even Alaba (whom I think will stay as LB though).

What I saw out there yesterday was a really strong midfield. This was only their first real game together, it should get better. :)

His presence is giving Bastian more space to attack, and thus score goals. He completely "ate" the midfield during the 1st half yesterday.

His performance yesterday was great, he's very determined on the ball and rarely loses it. It's like having two Schweinsteigers on the pitch. SouthernStar is right, he gives Schweinsteiger more freedom, which is always good for a player of Schweinsteiger's calibre.
