Kirchhoff: "I had several options. There were requests from the Bundesliga, but I didn't really consider them or to stay at Bayern. I'm looking forward to playing in England and the new challenge."

Apparently the interested Bundesliga clubs were Eintracht Frankfurt, VfB Stuttgart and FC Augsburg. [source]

...and another one joins the worrying trend of player/coaches drain from BL to EPL.

And it's only going to continue... The only hope is that some English clubs are starting to produce some top talent such as Stones, Barkley, Alli, Sterling, Ward-Prowse, etc.

Trouble is those guys are not coming from the biggest clubs and are generally more expensive than imported talent...

Will "money" play? Kirchhoff is not a great loss if he turns alright there, it will be their merit... because here nobody really trusted in him.
Some losses can't be replaced... imagine if Scheisse had today Eyezil, Rakitic? :P
BuLi will become weaker if we continue with this trend, just like in the '90s, doesn't matter how much money we'll be getting... Dutch and Portuguese championships are the best to prove it.

We just sold a player to England for €1m, half of his market value as estimated by transfermarkt.

Kirchhoff came on for his Sunderland debut at 59' with the score 1-1 and the match finished 4-1 for Tottenham. Bad debut for him.

Surprising... after a long break some top flight minutes of football. I guess that he's still that "rough diamond"...

They weren't losses. Leaving Scheiße 04 was the best thing that ever happened to them. At Schalke they wouldn't have become what they have been in the last 5 years, especially Rakitić. Embarrassing and 'impossible' header(which he missed) against Spain on Euro 12' was a point of complete turnover in Rakitić's career and after that we all saw where he stands today.

As for Kirchhoff, back then he agrees terms with Bayern in January 2013 knowing the fact Heynckes is leaving Bayern in summer and Guardiola coming. Then I knew what's going to happen to him at Bayern. He also should have considered that, but he hasn't and these are the consequences of his bad decisions.

Then that Schalke loan... Another fail. He lost 2 and half years for one big nothing. His career has gone in completely wrong direction.

Good luck to Kirchhoff in reviving his career.
