He is, but he is also a current Real Madrid player.

.....yes, and? He should be treated differently than other Bayern players? okay.

I'm not saying he should be mistreated or anything like that, but let's not forget he's on loan, and it's an option not an obligation. There is no guarantee he will be a Bayern player in two years' time.

MUTU..which player can you guarantee will be a bayern player in 2 years time?
In that sense costa played 2 seasons mandzukic played 2 seasons..gotze 2 seasons ok 3 but thats nt the point..2 years is a long time..In 2 years robben ribery vidal all will be gone..Stay in the present..He will stay beyond 2 years ..bookmark this and he will herald the new bayern like robben did..its a deja vu in the sense..robben was forced out of real madrid and now james.

Wow.
I really don't get what's your problem MUTU. You can say people overrate him, yes. But what you're saying now is just ridiculous.

Us signing him turned out to be a bigger deal that I thought. Maybe because I didn't follow him before, nor his previous team.
My friends telling me about it and I'm like: "Yeah, I hope he does good" and they give me that look as if I should be more excited. Maybe I should be. I don't know. haha

It's that I don't consider him our player yet. Just like I still consider Douglas Costa to be ours.

I just think that you are underrating James wayyyyy to much. I'm telling you. He's a world class player, one of the best in the world. What I can't tell you is that he won't have the same problems here than in Madrid after Ancelotti leaves. That's something that no one could tell. But in terms of football, he's a proven world class player and will take our attack to the next level and all our attackers will benefit from it. I haven't seen any highlight video of him because I've seen him playing and I know what to expect. But I guess he's the kind of player with jaw dropping skills & goals videos in youtube. And he's not an unknown player that might have scored nice goals in a lower league. He's done it with Colombia in the World Cup / Copa America and with Real Madrid

Just before we jump over MUTU and those of us who are sort of on a wait-and-see situation I don't think any of us have said he is not exactly a team starter; Zidane did. It comes as no surprise that having had very little playing time in the last three years, there might be skeptics.

I followed Colombia on the WC and he was a very good playmaker. Whether that transforms into CL glory is yet another matter.

However I continue to express both my disappointment and interest as well.

I am disappointed because Bayern needs more than one winger. My interest comes because Ancelotti says we don't need any.

So it is very interesting to see whether or not Ancelotti's second run at a 4-3-3 will look like. This, taken from an Sport1 article:

DEsjQgwXsAEpw34.jpg

So Bayern is on a path to a Milan makeshift. A post-Robbery winger-less formation made up of 5 midfielders and a pole.

If James succeeds at Bayern it will not only prove he's a good player indeed, but it will also vindicate Ancelotti as the first successful coach to transform Bayern's illustrious inverted winger formation to a true middle of the park behemoth.

I think so too. As I said a few days before the transfer I'm not entirely convinced and that shows how ingenious our 2 year loan thing is. However, I think this will turn out to be a Robben-esque transfer.

----- Lewandowski
James - Thiago - Robben
