Here in Colombia the people in all the city (the capital, Bogota) is asking about when the shirt will arrive to the local adidas shops in order to buy it. EVERYBODY!

How come does he have such a huge following? Don't people in Colombia know about fan loyalty to clubs?

I mean, obviously good for us, but it's weird that such a huge number of people start following a club just because of a player.

Nop, they don't know about that. Someones continue being R. Madrid fans, but also like now Bayern

@fcbm imagine what happens if one day a Maltese player signs for a top team...

This is what we call the colombian effect, even when he went to Madrid, Spanish people couldn't understand how a lot of people from Colombia began to follow their team, and it is because we the colombian people are so passionate with everything we feel is ours, it's not about loyalty for a football club it's loyalty to our superstar, i mean patriotism.

I can't deny i felt i little angry when i saw since yesterday fanboys "joining" to my glorious Bayern Munich (i love Bayern since 2006), but then i realized all the benefits it will take to the club (merchandising, tv ratings... etc)

Tbh, I don't think the jerseys are sold out...think they won't be released until the 16h. Otherwise it's very very impressive that he sold out all sizes in all variations.

They were advertising it all over the place with "get your james jersey now".

Has anyone seen them available? I mean, if they're truly sold out for now, surely Bayern would make a statement (it's the best kind of PR!).

They wouldn't say "get your jersey now" then. They would say pre-order.

I mean, I really want to believe it and I hope it's true. But you can order them and pay for them, they just get made at a later date (which makes sense with a transfer as quick as this one).

In Colombia it is a joke mode (meme) to make jokes or insult any bald guy by saying: "calvo hijueput meta a James" which means "bald (Zidane) son of * put James, he needs to play" or something like this (i don't speak English) . Since Robben is bald, the Colombians needed to continue the joke. I am Panamanian and I know this very well. It's just something from social networks

Or maybe they just need to chill a little... I mean ME, I AM ranting, WAYYY too angry about soccer - but some of those guys need to realize this is a sport - what what fairness means...
Someone, fire that Italian **** already! I don't care who, I don't care how much it costs or who'll be the next coach - just make sure he's gone and he stays gone!!!

I think they either didn't start selling yet but were in a hurry for a flashy advertisement on the site. Or they did indeed make shirts, but not in big enough amounts so they got caught up with the demand at first. Which is called sold out but not as glorious as we might make it to be.

So now that we basically passed on De Bruyne once and got a similar player in James two seasons after, which one of them do you guys prefer?

If James is the top class player we think he is then his transfer is the best deal mostly from financial perspective but time will tell otherwise...
