Weird comparison but it should be adequate, unless english people spit differently than german people.

Some Colombian a$$holes are trolling Robben's instagram account with disgusting and insulting comments

My friends told me that those guys used to do the same with Zidane for not playing him

:x

Munico?? Wtf are you talking about? What language is that?

Why is it more correct saying Munich with English pronunciation than in Spanish? Did you know that the real name is München?

You're just an idiot. This post is really stupid and makes no sense.

BTW even if it sounds horrible, the real pronunciation is James in the Spanish way because that's what his parents want.

We also have David in Spain and the pronunciation is completely different in English

In the same way that English speakers pronounce Jesus in English and not in Latin

Don't you know? English is the measure of all things. :P

Bunch of nazis. There are a billion of names and as many different pronunciations, some make it as if it was the end of the world if you spell one wrong. I bet 80% here wouldn't know how to pronounce my last name, big deal.

It's very susceptible to regionalisms, though. I think most South American variants of Spanish (and even some Spanish variants) don't make a distinction with the sound of the English H. Similarly, South American Spanish doesn't make any distinction between S and Z or V and B. Conclusion; Hames is a good enough pronunciation

I've always wondered what the proper pronunciation of David Alaba is. Is it David like in English? David like in Spanish? Is it a German phonetic pronunciation (with a F for the V and an A for the A?)? xD

(I say David like in English)

I think the Spanish aren't pronouncing Jesus in theLatin way either are they?!

And AFAIK it's David like in English... The German David is similar to the Spanish one... As it is: tadaa, a name from the bible

Was obviously joking apart from his injuries and not being one for the long term, Robben is still someone we can rely on for the starting lineup. He hasn't declined as much as Ribery.

I use the German one you mentioned for Alaba.

That said, in my opinion there is no one correct pronunciation. I have a very common name, some people pronounce it the English way, some the Maltese way. Still the same name. It's the same with James, different people will pronounce it differently and it doesn't necessarily mean one is correct, to me.
