If I had to guess it's more just that they don't want him changing kit numbers mid season.

right... they'll want him to pick a number at Bayern and stick with it - #11, I would imagine

Yeah, no way in hell Robben is made to give up the 10 for a pretty face benchwarmer. Just, NO, there would be anarchy.

Just took the #11 and end of story. Or I will be really mad.
Bayern 3-3-3-1 build-up under Heynckes :
Neuer - Boateng Hummels Thiago - Kimmich Vidal Alaba - Robben Müller James - Lewandowski
Neuer- Boateng Vidal Hummels- Kimmich Martinez Alaba- Robben James Ribéry- Lewandowski

I'm sure it will be sorted since Adidas are heavily affiliated with the club so a compromise will be reached. I'm just happy we won't have to worry about him wearing Nike gear at his presentation

I don't know why when some people talk about James talk with a lot of hate and jealousy. Keep hating, he keep earning =D>

He will wear #11, end of the story.

After Alonso changing from 3 to 14 and Bernat changing from 18 to 14, there's no reason why he couldn't go from 11 to 10 after Robben retires...

Linguist here. It's the 'ch' in German Ich. 'xames' in IPA. To native English speakers, apologies but the sound is not in your language. Anyway, move on and be happy for the transfer. :D :D

To make matters more confusing, as a german I would say it's the "ch" from "brauch" and not "ich". But yeah, thank you. :coffee: =D>

You are of course correct. In my dialect the ich and brauch is so similar I didn't think about it :)

Anyway, I hope he can replicate 2014 form. If he can, the team looks great.

I'm grateful that this transfer was done early in the offseason so he will be able to familiarize himself with his new teammates and tactics as soon as possible....
