Robben's goal was a must and we wouldn't have accepted any other way last season, whereas Olic' goal came out of nowhere and made us think bigger :dante:

Maybe it was heading into the game but when we started missing those chances at 1-1, I grew very afraid, because of memories of the previous years. I remember when Subotic saved that shot I turned to my friend and said "We're going to lose again." But you're right. Perhaps more than triumph, with Robben's goal I was celebrating extreme relief.

Oh great memories :D One of the craziest CL knockouts I can remember

Olic's goal in Allianz Arena was incredible. I jumped like crazy after he scored. But Robben's goal in Old Trafford was very emotional at least for me. It was a beautiful goal created by Ribery and Robben in a game that we were previously losing by 3-0. I couldn't believe it when the ball went in. I think I cried a little bit in that goal

We were 3-0 down in Old Trafford and it looked like we were going to concede 6-7 goals... but then Olic scored a goal out of nowhere and everything turned in our favour. Robben's goal was just the cherry on top of the cake

That 09-10 CL season was full of emotional moments
I TRUST IN ARJEN ROBBEN

Yeah, barely scraping through was a lot more fun than battering everyone in our way, wasn't it? :P

It was very different. Nowadays you expect Bayern to go through. You can be positively surprised like against Barcelona, but there's a limit to that too.

It's different when you're the underdog, doing badly in the match and near the end you pull off a memorable goal that changes your sad, depressed face into a euphoric celebrative one.

As has been reported in other threads, Olić is joining Hamburg, where he played for two seasons between 2007 and 2009 prior to joining Bayern on a free transfer.

This man today celebrated his 100th cap for his country. =D> He even scored...

I'm surprised it's only his 100th cap. Thought he'd have way more! Gotta love this guy :)

100 caps, 20 goals. Ivica can be happy with 100 caps, but these 20 goals reveal his real quality. It's very small number of goals, especially after Euro 04'.
Eduardo before Taylor brutal foul which destroyed his promising career score 12 goals in Euro quali. campaign which thanks to him led us convincingly on Euro 08'.

All in all, people appreciate his contribution, work-rate, aggression but I guess it's time for younger troops to step in.

Last night Kovač was unhappy with the performance despite 5-1 victory over Norway, Olić was completely confused by his statement. Clash of worlds - head coach vs. players. :D
