I don't want Butt to be our first GK next season and as Sch0ll7 said we should buy Neuer in summer because ManU or another top team will steal it from Bundesliga just like Madrid did with Özil and Khedira.

Butt was world class during the first half of last season. But after that, he started to make big mistakes in almost every game. This year is being more or less the same. His is playing good games... but we'll see what happens in the next months.

Right now I am not worried about Butt at all and he is definately not the one holding Bayern back at all. The defense hasn't allowed hardly any goals this season and the goals against is in the top two or three in the Bundesliga, look at the goals scored and what the offense is doing because that is 99% of our problem right now. Uli and Nerlinger will decide this spring/summer what kind of offer they will throw at Butt or if they will bring someone in or not.

Hans-Jörg Butt

Postby Element » Sat Jan 29, 2011 12:41 pm

Karl Heinz rummenigge said about Hans-Jörg Butt

"When he is going to Retire Here at FC Bayern , He will Immediately get Any Job He wants here"

Then he added about How Butt Dealt with Kraft as Number 1

"He has accepted that with wonderful character And it was An Example for that you can handle personal issues , because he did not make a circus about that "

=====================
Nerlinger said twice (1 last year and 1 few weeks ago)

that Butt will be a youth Co-ordinator here as soon as here retires

Hans-Jörg Butt has confirmed that he will retire at the end of the season. He said: "I will definitely take the lead of the youth center in the summer"

That means that we are going to get a new goalie 100%, whether to replace Kraft or not.

I like Butt and it is good that his experience will be used here. I also hope his penalty taking skills will be taught to the young'uns.

If Bayern decides to keep Kraft, they can promote Sattelmaier as the 2nd goalkeeper.

2 goalkeepers is not enough though, a third one is always necessary. Look at what shape Arsenal is in right now.

It's FC Bayern we're talking about, who think that going virtually all season with 2 strikers is enough.
If Bayern gets Neuer, Kraft will leave anyway and then it's still the same situation that we'd be with Neuer and Sattelmaier. I really don't see us signing 2 goalkeepers in summer.

Butt: I warned van Gaal

Bayern Munich goalkeeper Hans-Jorg Butt has revealed he warned Louis van Gaal he was making the wrong decision by dropping him.

Really?? What exactly did they expect him to tell the coach? Yeah, you know what, he is better than me... Go ahead coach, put me in the bench!

Indeed, it is easy to say you were right afterwards. Clearly, LVG made faults but all this bashing after LVG is gone is far from clever. Uli Hoeneß also said the problems begun when Kraft took over, but the performance of Butt is also far from perfect.
