Scout Report on Gaudino.

Some of the biggest advantages that Bayern have in Gaudino, is that the youngster rarely/barely makes a mistake and has a keen sense to shift the game into space, stealing lost balls; more importantly, his passing fits perfectly into the Pep Guardiola philosophy. These attributes make him one of the most indispensable products who have risen through the ranks of the Bayern youth academy in recent times, including Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and another celebrity son, Lucas Scholl (son of Bayern Munich legend, Mehmet Scholl). But according to some of the youth coaches, Gaudino is potentially as good as Hojbjerg and better than Scholl.

Unlike Hojbjerg, who is a classic 6, Gaudino really shone as an AM/CM ball distributor. Really like Kroos.

And more flexible from what I've seen, really impressed. Is there gonna be a spot for Kroos in die Mannschaft... Gaudino grow up fast.

I remember a German NT player with that surname - Maurizio Gaudino - probably they are related...

Delighted to see that Gaudino now has his own thread.

Regarding his dad: if you can find any footage from the very recent Bayern All Stars v Manchester United All Stars, you'll see him playing.

Are you sure of that? I thought that he was just making up numbers for the public training game. Certainly, I'd be delighted if he were promoted to train with the first team all season.

I well repeat some thought that I have posted in Kroos thread...

Pep praised him since day one in the preparations, so one had to look closely about what was Pep talking about, he played almost all the minutes, against bigger, more experienced opponents, we can safely say that Bayern have a massive talent that should take care of it.

Comparing him to Kroos ( talent wise) !! what made Kroos a great player not his shooting technique, it's his decision making and his accurate leg, and Gaudino definitely has it, that was confirmed by Pep ..

Pep: "He is faster than the other players in his head. For this he is still nice and correct, keeps on with the boys at the hotel - and not with the stars. He remains on the ground ".

now that means a lot for a coach like Pep, because fast decision making basically means quick passing, in other words Tiki Taka.

For all the minutes that he played, he always, yeah always took the right decision, some time the execution doesn't go well, but the he his decision was always right, faster than you wants, and better than what you wants, and that's why he was delighted to watch.

Sammer :" He plays like he was always belong to this team"

Pep : " he played outstanding, that is why he will continue to practice with the pros, to train with Basti and Lahm is better for his development "

http://sportbild.bild.de/bundesliga/vereine/bundesliga/kleiner-gaudino-grosser-gewinner-der-vorbereitung-37151908.sport.html

He trained yesterday with the pros, and according to Pep he will continue to do so. The training session starts at 1:10:00 ( He is number 16), Lahm was the center of the group at the right, and Gaudino is the center of the one at the left, that is the smart players positions, Kroos was playing there in this possession trainings.

Gaudino might be the next Kroos, not PEH who was praised by Pep for his courage, not his mind. That is why Gaudino played as midfielder and PEH was shifted to the RWB.

And a flashy move at 1:36:00

Spoiler: show

All the best for him, he is in a safe hands

Haha.. have a fun, Gianluca, the best coach out there for you as a midfielder, is here for you.

The great and rare talent he has it, how he well continue to develop that is another argument !!

One other reason, perhaps, why Guardiola is so enthused about Gaudino could be that Gaudino basically plays in Guardiola's old position.

I wonder if they'll promote him into FCB II team or if they would prefer him in u-19 team which also plays in youth champions league.
