Was it the same sub in the first game?
Honestly, I think most of his subs suck... But... He's got to work with the players at hand... Others bring Isco OR Asensio for Bale, we bring Costa

I was asking if replacing ribbery was a wise move or not. I think not. Or not in that moment at least. Carlo was like, okay we are in 10 I will replace riberry with Costa because he is better in defence. But personally I cant remember a game when Costa played in the back

Well, he **** up in the first leg after the red... Taking of Alonso, the one time he did it - was wrong... Ribéry was no factor in the tie, sadly, but better than Costa with a broken foot...

I thought the sub was the right call because Ribery was visibly tired. But Costa was just pure shit when he came on, he barely moved. That was a coward performance for which Bayern needs to think hard about. I don't think he deserves to play for the club another season after barely sweating in a CL game against Real.

At this point in the season I'd have given Coman a crack to replace Ribery these past two legs. I know he hasn't been terribly impressive for many but to me Costa has been downright bad in recent weeks and I think Coman's form has been improving. I certainly don't think he could've done worse than Costa....and IMO he has more pace than Costa as well, which could've at least kept their defense more honest.

Ribery is more than good enough to be a backup for another 1-2 years but unfortunately no longer good enough to start for a team aspiring to win the CL

I honestly think this was the last good season we could get from Ribery. He can be an useful backup in the future but I don't think he has the legs to start consistently, let alone in big games, anymore. He gave it all this season, and showed how great a talent he really is, but I don't think he will have a lot left after this year.

Time has come Ribsy, we love you but it's time for you to accept the sub-role for the benefit of the team.
For his age, this season he was decent, nothing compared to prime Ribery but still class.
It's time to bring in the new #7 after Scholl,Ribery it would be a shame not find an equal to continue the brilliance of this number.
