Bayern Munich chief Uli Hoeness has slammed new Fulham manager Felix Magath.

Magath in the past has worked with Bayern and Hoeness.

"In the short term, appointing Magath can lead to success, but in the long term it is a disaster. I would never treat people like he does. I would never want a player to act that way," rapped Hoeness.

"He must be wondering why the players always celebrate when he leaves. Even in the clubs where he was successful."

The question is, 'Why ?' Why did Hoeness have to comment ? Hoeness, Beckenbauer and Rumenigge IMO make a lot of unnecessary statements which puts Bayern in the limelight.

He also does it with van Gaal. He once called van Gaal a "catastrophic human being". I think coaches may actually take this into consideration when they are approached by Bayern. I would. "Will this Uli dude throw this crap at me if I fail here?"

Here's quite an odd article about Felix Magath...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30739618

Former Bayern Munich manager Felix Magath has bought around a 1% stake in Rangers International Football Club.

He purchased the shares late last year, and has held discussions with one of the groups vying for control of the club, but it is not Robert Sarver.

Magath has no ambition to succeed Ally McCoist as Rangers manager, but does want to rebuild the club's football infrastructure as technical director.

The German's last job was as manager of English Championship side Fulham.

The 61-year-old was sacked by the London club in September after a poor start to the season.

He still, however, remains widely admired in Germany for his work at several clubs, having won the Bundesliga title twice while in charge of Bayern and once as boss of Wolfsburg.

The situation at Rangers is perilous again, attendances have dropped to the region of 15,000 amid supporter boycotts.

Magath is really just a joke, trying to take every job he can and losing all his credibillity he once had.. Sad and bored man..

Indeed, he's got a truly inflated opinion of himself and almost always brings chaos to dressing rooms and clubs everywhere he goes!

but if one team just parks the BUS and the more adventurous team has like 12 shots on target... & had a ball or two hitting the posts??? What then?
Does not make sense...

They would be discouraged to park the bus, because if nobody scores they won't get a single point.

Of course, if a team has a good lead at the top of the table and they are playing the 2nd placed club, they won't care. But a team battling relegation wouldn't afford to spend the whole match defending.

I don't really understand Magath's suggestion because the Bundesliga is known to be the most prolific and most spectacular league in Europe.

I'm not sure if he's talking about the Bundesliga or in football all around the world.

It's an interesting idea to be honest but slightly unfair.
