Emre Can was shown a second yellow card against Arsenal today with 6 minutes left on the clock and down 3-1. Arsenal added a fourth goal in injury time.

I noticed Can was playing RB in the game against Chelsea. Anyone had a scout in?

During the Steven Gerrard Farewell, the commentator was talking about furutre captain for LFC and players who could follow in Gerrards footsteps, he mentioned two players from LFC....Jordan Henderson and Emere Can. Is Can rally that good for LFC? He must have a lot of potential and the fans must love him if that already being said about him.

I watch the BPL regularly especially Arsenal and Liverpool. Can is not fantastic, but definitely above average. He's probably a fan favourite because he's projected to play in the same position (not currently) and he's young and looks to be loyal. Then again, it's Liverpool and Henderson is bang average, so standard's kind of different over there. Gerrard isn't exactly one of the best midfielders in history either although his passion and loyalty is probably the greatest in the world at the moment (until Schweini gets his farewell at least  )

He always (read: a bit loose "always") played there for Leverkusen.

It is a real pity to see such a player doing so well abroad. Emre Can is unfortunately another Bayern produce that has been allowed to leave because of a bad judgement from Bayern coaches

Emre Can

Postby MoFattal » Sun May 17, 2015 10:02 pm

He had an attitude during his time here. Plus, he isn't really "shining" in a very mediocre Liverpool squad. I have no regrets about letting him go.

In the few games I've watched him playing for Liverpool he has been too rash and committed too many poor fouls.

They should have loaned him instead of selling him.

Poorly worked contract - definitely should have been a loan instead of option to buy back. Still, can't help but feel like he wouldn't have a place in Bayern's midfield.

We decided not to ruin his career and let him go to Leverkusen, after that Liverpool. Today nobody can't wait for 4 years to get a chance at one club.

I agree that the best thing for his career was to move on, but I think Bayern should have structured his contract differently so that they received more money from his sale. Like I said before, he wouldn't have a place in our midfield now, so why wait around?
