It works for now. He's been at Bayern for a very short time. Even IF he only has one dimension, I'm sure the other dimensions will develop in time training with us.

Hmm... effective? Let's wait and see... His high crosses are still not very targeted, so is his finishing - if happening at all... But I gotta admit so far he's doing better than I expected: His low crosses are really dangerous... He needs to improve continually nad he might even become a starter in the years to come...

He's been a breath of fresh air no matter his limitations.

Him and Vidal also don't seem to be Guardiola's purchases but moreso coming from the board. Which is a good thing for me because whenever he leaves, and he will leave next year, it means that the next coach is not stuck with the uni-dimensional players that I think Guardiola prefers.

Ribery is done! DC is most likely a starter, or if we are playing with 3 at the front, the first replacement for Muller/Robben/Lewa.

We'll see about Frrrrooooonck... ;)
He's not (yet) an adequate replacement...

Admittedly, yes... Two things though... First of all: I still think he needs to make more of his crossing opportunities, meaning: With the amount of crosses he can make due to his high speed, he's reaching too few fellow teammates...
Secondly: if you guys (meaning the Pep-zombies and Alonso-fanatics :P ;) ) say a clear assessment in preseason is impossible you gotta go both ways - let's wait and see what he does on a regular basis in september, october, november - deal?! ;)

easily a starter for me upfront with Robben, Lewa and Muller. Throw in Thiago, Vidal, and Alaba and we're set. His pace and off the ball movement are rlly good. This match when him and Gotze were on at the same time he seemed to motivate him more and linked up well with him. Maybe the future we'll have a "Gösta" duo lol

With his speed and explosiveness he'll be a weapon if he can improve his precision. I'm sure that will come with time.

I like his altruism though, he often goes for the pass, which is good. Looks like a great signing so far.

I like that too on Costa,I like it very much indeed plus his explosiveness but that "altruism" can be translated to fear or lack of finishing!
From the games I've seen so far from which is a very small amount to make such conclusions just sayin' he seems a bit frightened, altruist on his game is Hazard & Ribery too for example they like to pass it and serve not to score but the difference in their confidence on the final ball related to Costa's is quite big at the moment.

Well,Costa will have his chances to prove his quality and I'm excited about it,clearly he is the "MVP of friendlies" at the moment.

http://www.tz.de/sport/fc-bayern/dougla ... 20922.html

Costa on Ribery and Robben: "For me it is an honor that my name is even mentioned in connection with the two. I am surely not yet as good as the two, but I know what lies within me: I want to reach the level of Ribery and Robben at Bayern."

Does he think he's faster than Robben: "I can definitely go faster - with a car!"

=D> Tons of respect for the Bayern elders, but also showing it's his goal to be mentioned in the same breath as them =D>
