Looked a bit sluggish to start the game today, but towards the end of the first half and really picked up the pace. That turn he did before crossing to Götze was awesome 8)

Of course it's preseason, but I didn't imagine this kind of impact from #11. He's gonna be a fan favorite at AA very quickly.

I can start quoting all the noobs from the transfer thread. So much hate even before he set foot on a pitch in a Bayern jersey, its amazing.

There's no hate... There's valid arguments - that, btw, are still very apparent in his play... The thing that bothered me the most was paying this much for him... 35m - he will have to be WAY better to justify that sum... That being said, so far he's not bad - not bad at all... Same thing I said before: work on efficiency and finishing and he might be up to a good career...

We didn't pay 35 million but 28 or 30, depending on whether you believe Kicker or Bild. So far the boy has been doing everything right, both on and off the pitch. He's not Robben or Ribery, but he is still only 24; more than enough time to develop for him.

In this market you cannot find a better bargain for a winger of his quality. Also, as you can see by the amounts of praise he's received, he's worth every penny we invested. I can't speak for all bayern fans, but I certainly feel confident and satisfied with him replacing Ribery on the left. Ribery could retire tomorrow and I would not blink an eye in fear of his absence simply because we have Costa.

What I will agree with though is that we still have to see how he'll perform this WHOLE season. Nonetheless I've got all the confidence that he'll shine.

Is there any Bayern player Steph dislikes? Steph is the definition perfect fan.

Indeed. At first I was worried about the pricetag for someone not named Griezmann that Bayern obviously needed if they wanted to win a single match, but so far I am put well at ease. May the Force be with this one.
