In that case, Loew should take him to Denmark. We aren't sure whether Contento will solve the problems at LB or not yet, but we mustn't lose a talent like him to Italy.

That is true, but it would at least show him that the coach knows about him, and also that he has a chance to play for Germany.

I dont see any problem for him to play for italy

As long as he does well for Bayern and delivers, I don't care what national-team he decides to play for. He can play for Jamaica, for all I care.

I care. Germany is responsible for this kid's success and progression. Germany gave him the chance and Germany gave him the training/education... How disrespectful to the country that built you.... NO honour or loyalty... I don't even want him on our team if he opts to play for Italy.. They should make an example out of him and bench him for his entire contract...

That doesn't mean anything IMO. He's still young, and he can go to a big italian club someday and choose Italy, much like Camoranesi did.

It seems that Contento is being called for U-21 German NT, so he made his choice
