Alaba is faster than Ze Roberto, Schweinsteiger, AND Kroos, our winger-turn-midfielders.

No, Alaba needs to be on the flank. It'd be a waste to put him in the middle of the park. It's a pity we don't play a three-man defense - he looks like the perfect pure wingback.

We already have fast wingers...after Shaq comes we will have 4 fast wingers with Ribery, Robben and Muller.

No need to play Alaba there.

Who says that MC/DMC does not need to be fast?...It would be ideal next to Schweini/Kroos who are one of the slower players on our team.

Imagine Alaba in few years after working on his defensive skills....

He would be improved version of Gustavo with great passing, movement, creativity and better right foot:)

As long as he plays like that as LB I would like him to play in that position..

I never said he should be a winger - merely that his future lies on the flank.

I am still not convinced about his defensive skills a little bit. But he can definitely work on it...

I'm certainly convinced. He has been a great LB defensively, not just good in supporting the attack. He has dealt with some top class players ever since he was put as LB, and I trust him way more than contento (which everyone used to praise), and he works well with Ribéry. He is tall and fast, so getting balls over him or past him is difficult, and he is young so he runs and runs and outlasts opponents since he doesn't tire easily. I think our left side has been our strongest side in defense and attack -- plus Badstuber covers for him when he goes forward. Giving him more time, and I only hope he gets stronger which is bad for other teams :)

I just love how Ronaldo switched sides because he could do nothing against Lahm and was owned by a 19-year old kid :D
