Last year dante was a disgrace the whole season, but this year he had some world class performances.

Another joke transfer is it comes through. Our board mentally is not ready to invest into great players at all (Howedes, Vertonghen).
Better buy cheapest options and see 'what happens if happens'....

If Dante comes it is because the board still have huge hopes deposited on Badstuber. Höwedes would come to sit him on the bench

Another player who does amazing for another Bundesliga team and will come to Bayern and be labeled as average. Who in the hell is really scouting at Bayern????

For all you Dante haters out there, the Castrol ratings have Dante ranked the #5 defender in the Bundesliga, just ahead of #6 Lahn, #7 Badstuber and #8 Boateng.

I don't have much confidence in this. There is no way that Dante is a top centre back. He'll surely just be brought in as cover if Breno or DvB goes in the close season.

Well in all fairness van Buyten was superb this season before his injury, I can only recall one "mistake" from him, which was when he didn't win the headers v... Napoli?

In any case if Dante comes here, either Breno or van Buyten are on their way out. Most likely Breno.

Has to be Breno. It has been what, eight years since he actually played?

It will only be good as a beck up # 2 ,we need more talented and proven defender who can replace DVB and even take place of Badstuber.
Dante will only be good for bench dept. :!: :!:

Good signing if we do get him, he should replace DvB. But I really want us to pursue another CB like Howedes.

Max Eberl does not let go. The manager of Borussia Moenchengladbach is trying everything not to lose central defender Dante to Bayern. Only the signature of the four-year contract is probably still missing. The release clause is €4.6 million.

"I spoke with him last week," said Eberl to Sport Bild, "He has assured me that nothing is yet decided and signed. No club has requested him." But since then, Dante and his advisers, writes the Express, met in a Düsseldorf hotel for the final details of the deal.

But Eberl has arguments - for Gladbach and against Bayern. "He wants to be the best he can with us. At Bayern, he is perhaps only the third. I told him: Work with us and Dante will also hang on the wall in addition to Netzer."

But Dante would have to extend his contracted, rather than go to the German record champions. This is exactly what Eberl in mind!

"If Dante extends to 2015 or 2016 and finishes his career here, he can be a figurehead. Each fan is already making a Dante Wig. Netzer, Vogts, Matthew, Effenberg, Dante -.. He can be in this rank."

At Bayern, similar-sounding lines are possible ...
