The one other thing I really noticed looking back on his play was that his passing was pretty damn accurate, just a little bit rushed. He seemed to go for the first open player he saw, instead of sitting on the ball for half a second longer and looking for better options. It's not a criticism, since its kind of expected for a new player to play the safe first pass available, but his ability to quickly spot the man open was nice to see. Give him a couple games to settle in and I think he will he will be a valuable squad player. I still will expect a 4231 for the time being since Coman, Robben, Müller and James all bring more to the table at the moment.

It's not easy to quickly play the best pass when you've only been training with your new teammates for a week or so. In time, he will start to anticipate where players would be making their runs and be able to specifically look for them faster.

He played simple and quickly, with some good risks sometimes and he was dynamic. Always in movement at high intensity defensivly or offensivly.

All the opposite of Xabi Alonso and Renato Sanches weaknesses combined.

Yes, I strongly believe he will be a very good player.
Keep in mind he's only 22 and has trained for what, 1 week or so with the team?

he hit 2 or 3 long cross passes that were perfectly weighted - can't wait to see him nailing those in the champions league 8)

"Perfectly" ... at 0,02s after they were outside the field.

...which Bernat controlled and soon turned into a goal. that was the worst of those passes anyways

Thought Tolisso performance was really good, we have few counterattack and we were ticking in midfield...also he allow Thiago to go forward more plus he can also go forward himself which is great....watch the matches over and Werder Bremen had more chances than Hoffenheim due to his absent this clearly change the moment he came on...excellent debut...excited...plus he seems to form a friendship with Coman which is good for integration.

Him and Goretzka would be the ultimate duo in my opinion!
