Lell surprisingly revealed that he has both The German and Austrian Nationality Because his Mother is Austrian!!!

and that he is waiting for a call from Austria

Christian Lell is not Allowed to play for the Austrian NT

Reason : The rule says that if a player plays for a youth Team (U-19 or U-20 or U-21) or played Friendlies with the main Team , he is allowed to change the national team in the main team

Just like Mehmet Ekici ,Kevin Prince Boateng and Jermaine Jones

But There is a hidden Rule for that

The player Must Have The Nationality of the 2nd Country When he played for the first country

Ekici had both Turkish and German Nationality when he played for Germanys youth teams so it is ok for him to change to Turkey MAin team (and this is what he did

But Christian Lell DID NOT have the Austrian Pass When he played HIS FIRST GAME with Germany's U-20

So he is not allowed to paly for Any National team Except Germany (YEAH RIGHT)
EDIT
OH MY GOD , this is my post number 10000 , HOLY CRAP !!!

DONT YOU LOVE LELL

Hertha Berlin captain and right back Christian Lell has once again made headlines for his off-field antics. According to Bild, the former Bayern Munich man was involved in a brawl in Munich on Sunday.

Among other things, the defender is accused of having beaten a waiter at Munich's Treff P1. The player, who has since been banned from the nightclub, has denied these allegations.

Lell said the waiter got punched in the face by other guys , but he was close to the scene , the waiter blackmailed him by saying that lell should either give him 2000 euros or he will drag him into the problem

and lell also said LATER that he should have avoided that by gonig away when he saw what had happened

Maybe he wanted to show that the door is open to all players... something like this: "Even Christian Lell might have a chance if he makes outstanding performances"...

Lell was really close to a nomination in his quite solid season 2007/08 if I recall correctly. He profited of Sagnol's slow recovery and filled the gap of the Frenchman quite well.

Well, I read an article about him lately, I believe on tz and they were really praising his performances as of late and how he has really grown and matured into a good player. I'll admit I haven't seen him in a while, but assuming he now has skill complementing his speed, then... why not?

I had heard (previous post) that Lell was doing well this season but now spox rated him as the 4th best right back (and only the 2nd German) of the Hindrunde.

How the hell isn't a Bayern player on that top 5? I mean, it IS the club that almost broke the clean sheet record, you know.
