1. He is a food junkie — and admits there are only two things he cares about when it comes to grub ... quality and quantity.

2. When Juve fans called him a pig he said: “That’s an insult to the animal!”

3. He was raised a Catholic by Salesian monks.

4. He is a keen horse rider and keeps several at his country home at Reggiolo.

5. His estranged wife Luisa is a qualified helicopter pilot who used to give him lifts home from the AC Milan training complex.

6. His son Davide signed a contract last year with Serie D side Borgomaneror.

7. Daughter Katia, 24, was in an Italian TV talent contest and worked at Chelsea TV.

8. He split from wife of 25 years Luisa after it emerged he had been having a secret affair with Romanian PR girl Marina Cretu, 30.

9. His nickname as a player was ‘Carletto’, gaining a reputation as a very capable midfielder.

10. He lost a bet and gave up smoking for a while when Milan lost the 2005 Champions League final.

11. In the four years that have passed, he has refused to watch any of that Liverpool game on video.

12. When Milan lost to Man United he snubbed Alex Ferguson’s offer to share a bottle of red wine.

13. He admits the only time he ever liked Juventus was when he was their coach.

14. France legend Zinedine Zidane is rated by Ancelotti as the greatest player he has worked with.

15. Ancelotti had no idea who Kaka was when stories broke about the player joining AC Milan.

16. At Roma, he took the mickey out of then manager Sven Goran Eriksson because players caught the Swede “stinking up the dressing room toilet with a bad bout of diarrhoea.”

17. But he likes Eriksson and when Roma sacked the Swede in 1987, he decided to quit the club.

18. He is convinced a hotel doorman thought he was a toyboy in a tryst when he went to a secret meeting to sign for Milan in 1987.

19. Ancelotti is one of six men to have won the CL as player and coach.

20. He has collected 17 trophies so far.

No matter how good will be Ancelotti in Bayern, at least he will not have tied the shadow of Heynckes, he will have less pressure in this sense than Pep on all his three years, thats the main reason for me of why this team comes good to have a new coach.
Super-Bayern! Super-Bayern! Hey! Hey!

Carlo Ancelotti explains that he is far from bitter about the treatment he received at Chelsea and Real Madrid and that even Guardiola will get sack one day ...

First one was actually a joke... Second one was true somehow... Pathological is wrong though...

I wish him a long and happy, yet soccer-wise unsuccessful, life :P :D

I think he mooched off of us... I think he's a smug overrated self-righteous pretender...

He's not a "bad" coach, neither is he "the best" IMHO...

But the thing that bothers me most is not that he didn't win the CL here - while managing the best squad we ever had... And it's not that he kept repeating the same mistakes over and over... It's mainly that he never really committed to this club... This was a project for him... It became once again very clear during that press conference yesterday... He never loved this club and he never will, yet it's the single best club he'll ever get to work for as it is the single greatest club in the world (which btw he's leaving for one of the most detestable piles of shit in the world of sports...)... And he was never able to appreciate that cause all he cared for was his stupid project, his own glory and the paycheck coming in on time every month... So yeah, I'm not particularly fond of him... But I don't hate him... I just don't respect him...
Thanks for nothing, :pep: !!

How can you hate Pep, when he improve so many players here individually.

General consensus I got was that the players all loved playing for Pep and really took his ideas and tactics into stride... Now, were they the ideal players for pep, attribute wise, i don't think so. However, I would say everyone on the team did improve as an individual...

That being said, Carlo was a great choice as his replacement and like how many people here stated, i think Carlo will win the champs league with Bayern.

Ancelotti against Bayern :coffee:
For good football : Neuer - Kimmich, Boateng, Hummels, Alaba - Vidal (Tolisso), Thiago (Tolisso) - Robben, Müller (James), James (Ribéry) - Lewandowski

For boring football : 4-3-3
