It is only natural... He followed C.A at P$G and R€a£ Madrid after they met at Chelsea.
As for his obsession it counts for nothing since it is the hed coach who decides.

As such I have no problem with possession based football..In Jupp's time to we had a lion's share of possession..but currently we are possession "obsessed" it seems..

tomorrow morning PSG's gardeners will have a lot of work to do... re seeding both penalty boxes because of heavy traffic created by the chelsea players...

Former France striker Nicolas Anelka says Franck Ribery will enjoy playing under Carlo Ancelotti at Bayern Munich because the Italian is the best manager he ever worked with.

Who? :P

Kidding aside: first thing this guy has to do, IMHO, is to bring back a physical aspect to our game... As soon as we take the first punch we're always knocked out... Remember Madrid 2012? ManUre 2010? We were already out in those games... Playing away... Fighting back... ATM we let others fight back...
Someone, fire that Italian **** already! I don't care who, I don't care how much it costs or who'll be the next coach - just make sure he's gone and he stays gone!!!

sigh..
"Man-marking Messi is very complicated. The defender marking him would have to be at a very high level," the Italian wrote in his column for Sina Sports .

"The best way to stop him is by defending as a team, keeping the space between the lines tight and not allowing him to touch the ball. You need a lot of players in midfield to make that happen. That reduces Messi's options and he will see less of the ball, at least in dangerous positions.

"We know that he likes to cut in from the wing and get the ball onto his left foot. But the problem is that Barcelona have more weapons than just Messi. If you focus on Messi, their other attackers can do the damage.

"But if Messi is at 100 per cent physically, it is impossible to try to stop him, no matter who the coach is and what his strategy is. His enormous talent makes it nearly impossible to anticipate what he will do, so there is no way to keep him quiet."

Why do idiot coaches praise Messi so much? it's like a disease that is spreading through the coaching world, to the extent that I believe that Messi's party may even be paying them for saying this positive publicity. I thought Ancelotti was a bigger man than Pep... well I guess not.

Messi is not at all great, Germany NT repeatedly own him.

After the times that he failed to contain him, he can't say differently... Loew is da man!

Funny how an internet warrior like you seems to think you know more than actual footballing experts like Ancelotti and Pep. Pep's said it and I understand if some people can't take it because they personally hate Pep, but now that Ancelotti has said it you still refuse to believe.

Messi's performance level generally decreases when he's playing for Argentina period, not just when he plays against Germany. Look at the World Cup again and he didn't have what you would call a "good" game, although he had one or two moments of magic per game that would carry Argentina up to the semi-finals.

I don't agree that marking Messi is impossible - we've seen it with the 4-0 in Munich. In fact, we've also seen it in the 3-2 last year (and this was with Pep who said he's unstoppable). We've also seen it in many international games with Argentina. That being said, his impact on the Barcelona front line IS unstoppable. You can stop him from getting into the box, but in goes the other world class players to finish you off. I believe he hasn't scored in the last 5-6 El Clasico's, some of them against Ancelotti, but he'd still have a multitude of assists and chances created. Messi is unstoppable in more ways than one.

Well... to say it on the eve of a semi final encounter is one thing...and say it relaxed during an interview is another thing... don't you think?

I don't have problems with anyone else's problems with Pep, sure, hate him for that whatever, but Ancelotti and Pep said the same thing regardless.

Yes I know... But the circumstances in which they said it are completely different... How about giving some confidence to your players before a difficult match like that and when you know that half of the squad is out inj?
I don t hate Pep ... I just don t fully like his methods. Ironically lately he started to change... I don t know why!
