"E-Jugend-Foul" - harte Kritik an Arturo Vidal [source]

Apparently he was under fire in social medias for that dumb foul... TZ wrote something about it...

One of the tweets was "Classic case of confusing the gas and brake pedal."

yes I was mad at him as well, after that rush challenge in which resulted into a penalty he went on Saul with the intention to kill.
Vidal is either present with his head or completely out.

That tackle was inexcusable for a player of his quality...

It was an embarassing moment actually for a player of his caliber, he got totally schooled like a kid.
He has fouled many times like that but outside the box or the centre midfield but at the box, Arturo?

I couldn't believe it when I saw....well not really since I know his history of being a hot head but he has yet to get a red card with Bayern so I was still surprised...

I have a feeling that Vidal in Bayern shirt is much more a defensive player than he was throughout his career, I remember him with Juve & Chile being a huge threat for a goal here at Bayern he cleary has instructions to keep it low in that matter.

However it's really a joy to see Vidal playing for Chile, he looks so free there and he does literally everything with huge confidence.
In general I enjoy Chile's games, they are by far the most interesting & entertaining team in South America.

I think he's just been out of form this season. Scored plenty of important ones earlier this year.

Maybe, I watched his spell at Torino and I have a feeling that he needs a push to start well the season, except his freshman year at Juventus where he thrived since the season started he always been like this for the first months, subdued.

Including Bayern last year where I can described him as "bad" not even average but after November, oh my god... brutal!
I think the same will happen again with Arturo it's not that he is playing bad but for his level & intensity he is average this season, still though I consider him as irrepleceable even when his not at his top top form.

As for the goaless -Bayern- Vidal, if you see his stats before Bayern he scored many goals, first year at Juventus scored 22 times!! While at Bayern has 10 goals in general. In his last year at Leverksusen shirt he scored 13 goals. I assume that here at Bayern he gets instructions for defense mostly because at his time for Juve & Bayer the attackers weren't so.. world class or so many as here. With Chile he is a constant threat as always

I think there are two elements in Vidal's lesser goal count: packed defenses and position (at Juve, Vidal was often the 10).

Vidal is in the 30-man shortlist for the Ballon D'or.

Should be top 3, in my opinion. Won the League, the Cup and the Copa (besides reaching the UCL semis) and was of great importance for both his teams. Only a few players on that 30-man shortlist can say the same thing. But it'll be Messi, Ronaldo and Griezmann anyway...with Ronaldo winning bc of UCL and Euros (even though he was pretty meh in both competitions).
