A Vidal-Thiago midfield is what I had been hoping for for a few months. I was already wondering what was taking Pep so long to give it a go.

Plus Javi Martinez with them ... that would be the perfect midfield combo ever. Brain, muscles, and athleticism...

Would be awesome, but we need 4 spots up front for attackers (2 wingers + Lewy + Müller). I think Javi needs to stay in defense.

We need 4 attackers. So Javi Martinez in defense with Boateng.

He was master class as the anchor midfielder and I have to admit i was nervous about his effectiveness in that position since he is used to more of a free role but his defensive instincts and discipline are just as good as Xabi Alonso and unlike Xabi he has the legs to match it. I still would prefer him in a less rigid role where he can wreak havoc in the midfield.

Where would that be? In place of Thiago? Or in place of Müller?
Let him stay out of going into hopeless dribbles. Whenever he played more advanced for us, he was meh.

We can have the 3-3-3-1
(But this means an Alaba Boa and someone else in defense ... & I am not a fan of alaba back there...)
The trio I mentioned in mdf...
Costa Mueller Goetze behind Lewa

You're all such big fans of Jupp, so why not this?
I see yesterday's line-up as the best anyways, just with Boa for Bernat, Martinez for Kimmich and maybe Ribéry for Costa.

I would swap Costa and Götze for the time being since Götze seemed to be more useful on the right wing if we don't play him centrally or go Costa-Götze-Müller. Either way Costa is way better playing as a traditional non inverted winger. Damn near all of his assists come from low hard left crosses

True he isn't as gifted going forward as the players u have just listed but I was probably thinking vs a team like Barca I would like him in a more free role to make life hard in the midfield and his defensive tenacity and instincts make him a good fit for something like that. But your right when Bayern play on the front foot the anchor role is probs best

Vidal left the team hotel Principi di Piemonte in Turin at 2:25am after the Juventus match. He didn't use the hotel lobby; instead, he left through a side door into a taxi, accompanied by two bodyguards. [source]

I struggle to understand why you guys are even putting Gotze in the starting lineup.

Fair point, just that 3-4 posters placed him in different positions and I'm like "Why on earth is he playing instead of Robbery or probably even Coman?"
