There are a few, although I am not sure if they have converted yet.

They are LVG Haters because of a mixture of the following reasons -

- They were Toni fans
- Did not like letting go off Lucio
- Consider Braafield and Pranjic as bad transfer decisions
- Did not enjoy the start of the season

AND some of them also think we are playing worse football than Klinsman and recently previous years which just Baffles me. We are way more organized and playing better football.

Add:
- He would prefer to put Lell as CDM than Tymo
- MVB still is our captain
- Muller and Gomez in the first XI
- Alaba as LB
- He didn't helped with our so needed transfers
- We're playing just like before and LVG doesn't seem to care about that
- He thinks he's a superior being and he doesn't admit and correct his mistakes

And tons of more other reasons

Is it just me or was Robben - after scoring on a world-class volley - showing an unneccessary amount of arrogance when his team-mates were celebrating with him? He didn't have to say anything, and he didn't, to show it; he was holding himself above everyone else by not responding to the team celebrations and, instead, stood tall, looked off into the distance, and grinned from ear to ear as though he was enjoying these "lesser" beings grovel at his feet.

He is a phenomenal player, and I love the fact he is on our squad, but I cannot appreciate that type of arrogance. Hopefully I am wrong.

Can Robben win player of the year award?

Postby sch0ll7 » Tue Apr 27, 2010 12:41 pm

I was thinking about it for a few days now...

Imagine Robben scores another great match-wining goal today or in finals.
And than having great world cup with Dutch national team.
And Messi [Argentina] and Rooney [England] totally fail to show anything great at the world cup.

Would that mean he could actually win that award?

What do u think?

Most of times the player of the year award goes to a player from the winner team of CL, so, yes, I think it's possible if he scores some goals today and in the final.

It would be ironic for Ribery though cause all these years he is saying that he would like this award and this year he is out due to injuries / suspension...

And world cup means a lot...remember Canavaro winning the player of the year award and he is a defender!!!...but they wont world cup so It is possible.

Or Imagine Deutschland winning the world cup and Schweini being their leader to that trophy...would that mean even he could win that award as he is one of our best and consistent players this season?

I mean a lot of that depends on who will win the CL and who will have great world cup.

I would love for this to happen and its quite possible cause Netherlands is looking dangerous going into the world cup. The same argument can be made for Sneijder who has been equally impressive for Inter and if Inter wins CL and Dutch win WC or make it to final there is a very solid chance of that happening.

However, I believe that in WC Year the award usually goes to a top performer in the WC, the CL kind of gets overshadowed. So i hope Netherlands and Germany are in the final :).

Netherlands reaching the semifinals while he is a key player
Argentina and England don't win the world cup

Then he would be able to win it. At least top 3.

As I said I predict that WC final will be Argentina VS Germany with Argentina win, so I would bet on Messi for the award.

But surely if we go to the final, Robben will be in the top 3 candidates...
