We have 13 german players.

Altintop has ALSO a german nationality, but he chose Turkish one (so he can play with the NT).
Players on loan do not count ...

Altintop has a german passport so he counts too.

It doesn't matter for who you play, only the passport counts. If you're german citizen you count. And he was talking about next year so Kroos and Ottl do count.

Are you reading what we wrote earlier?

Even without Lell, Rensing and Gorlitz we have:

Butt,Kraft, Lahm, Badstuber, Contento, Ottl, Schweinsteiger, Kroos, Muller, Gomez, Klose and Altintop for the next season. We will probably have Kici too so that' 13 players and you need 12.

According to the Kicker, Mainz are highly interested in Gorlitz and they've already met him for negotiations.
