Anyone with some decent football knowledge knows that Tymoshchuk is a better defensive-midfielder than van Bommel, LvG doesn't seem to see it that way at the moment, but the Ukrainian will convince him eventually. Anyway, there are plenty other threads where this subject can be discussed.

Your right. Von Bommel looked old and slow yesterday. I think his best days may be behind him.

Totally agree. He is a great CDM and it was one of his dreams to play for FCB (because he likes Matthaus)...Putting a player like him in bench is a decision I cannot agree with LVG.

it wasnt lvgs decision to bring him here.
We dont have the right position for tymo to play.
