Well, I like Tymo, but he had brought it to himself by refusing to take a PK last term.

Same. That was completely unacceptable from a senior player like him (Kroos is another matter). I'll always rate Olic a thousand times more despite his miss. It just doesn't feel the same with Tymo ever since.

Well he allegedly said that he's signed a two-year contract with a European club and will be leaving this summer.

Still trying to locate the source of this rumour.

Yup read it on facebook. And someones comment welcome to Olympiakos. I like him a lot just cant bear to see this current squad break up. Tymo, Gomez, Raf, contento. These guys were great all season not complaining and all. Could be real sad to let them leave.

And Javi, although that is at international level. :)

I am also sad to see him go, but it is time to do so. I hope he goes somewhere where he plays regularly and hopefully features in the CL.

Ah, he is a gentleman on our roster, a veteran and someone who loves the club.
It'll be a shame to see him go, I wish him only the best.

It's officially confirmed from Bayern's end that Tymoshchuk will not be extending his contract and leaving at the end of the season.

Someone on Twitter mentioned after the final that he's pissed that players like Tymoshchuk celebrated so much without doing anything, and that pissed me off. Back in 2010/11, when Badstuber was injured, Demichellis was frozen out and Van Buyten was at the low point of his career, Tymoshchuk stepped in at the back and did his best to shore up a defense decimated by LVG's negligence. He did this months after LVG publicly stated that players like him should leave the club if they're not playing enough. Last year, he filled in at the back during the CL Final and didn't screw up. Not every player in the squad is Schweinsteiger or Lahm, but it's players like Tymoshchuk that will be forgotten by most in a few years, despite all they did for the club.

Totally agreed. It's a team game. Having such a strong squad has pushed everyone to the next level. That includes having players like Tymo.

I take it that guy never celebrated the win since he never played in the game?
