So a bit like the English. I find it really hard to support the team with players like Rooney, Cleverley, Wio Ferdinand and some other blokes in it. Thankfully a lot of them aren't in the squad this time around.

As for the Spain - Netherlands game, unbelievable. Did that really happen? I ask because it was 5am when the game finished so I'm not entirely sure! With the squad they have I expected an easy win for Spain but van Gaal had different plans. Chuffed to bits for Robben, deserved such a performance against the Spaniards.

You mean last time that Spain lost their first World Cup match whilst they were favourites but playing against a former FC Bayern coach (who had taken Bayern to a Champions League final), Spain ended up winning the World Cup.

Hahahahaha I just love Robben's 2nd goal (Holland's 5th goal). All that was missing was a leash on Casillas because Robben took him walkies :)

Robben made a payback to Casillas and Ramos for the CL games.
"Normally Monsieur Candie, I would say "auf wiedersehen". But since what "auf wiedersehen" actually means is, till I see you again, and since I never wish to see you again to you sir, I say, goodbye."

I can just imagine the Dutch dressing room during half time. Louis van Gaal pulls down his trousers once more and says "ok boys, either you're gonna hit them for five in the second half or you're gonna queue up and kiss these jewels one by one after the match!"

The rest is history.

Casillas and Ramos were horrendous last night. I don't remember ever seeing them outplayed like that, especially Iker. Puyol was non-existent as well, but somehow looked like he's enjoying watching his Madrid colleagues getting humiliated and stayed away from the action as much as he could :D

Del Bosque has a lot of thinking to do. This was in no way similar to the World Cup opener of 2010 when they lost to the Swiss. It was a total breakdown of their system. Except for a David Silva missed effort after a godly through ball by Iniesta, Spain basically didn't do anything all game long. The goal they got was from a penalty that was neither a foul nor a dive. I still think they will qualify and kick Brazil out in the second round, but I don't see them getting past the QFs if Del Bosque doesn't implement some major changes in terms of playing styles and starting XI.

I don't recall, but I have a feeling Scolari won't last long. The bastard just kept nagging and nagging even though the referee was practically Brazilian.

He said that he won't make revolutionary changes. To be honest he is probably right. I would only make a few changes, such as adding Martinez, Koke, maybe Fabregas.

As for Casillas, Mourinho must have enjoyed that game. ;)

Well, these are actually major changes. Having Pique and Xavi benched would have some tactical impact on the field I believe. I also believe he should introduce Juanfran on the RB position instead of that Chelsea dude with the hard-to-type name who is not really sure if he is a RB, RM, or RF.

That would have great impact on the tactics. Javi as DM, Koke as a winger and Fabregas as #10. Costa upfront. Those are the making of a not-tiki-taka gameplan.
