I don't know what happened (well, I do, Heynckes happened :P) but this has finally completely pumped me up for the world cup.

Bring on Chile-Australia!

That was brilliant. MAJESTIC.
Spain had absolutely no idea what to do. They were good in the first half but the dutch overpowered them in the second.
.
And ROBBEN. What a game by him. what a lad.

Super G, typical Robben. God, thank you for everything! Thank you for that tragic 2011/2012. Something really great and amazing has come out of that Robben black season. [-o<

Every time a team that lost its first match won the world cup, the final was against Holland.

Spain and the Netherlands can only meet in the final. ;)

Anyone think Martinez would've made a difference?

Robben's right foot did so much more than Costa

FCBayernMunchen wrote:Anyone think Martinez would've made a difference?

I think it's not the defense but the offense. Spain has won everything even with a sub par defense.

Costa [-X

With Javi Martinez, they would have to change thier whole formation and some tactics IMO. Something like a 4231 with Costa as the striker instead of false nine and Javi in defensive midfield could be done.
But i Don't think that Javi could have anything against Robben's pace if he had played. Spain were outplayed tactics wise. A change of personnel could have hardly changed that result
