I must admit that I cheered for the goals of Lahm and Klose against Greece in Euro although I am Greek. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I was born in Germany and I always will have a special spot for them. Or the fact that I don't like many things in "new" Greek culture and the way they treat football (much different than basketball where they give space for new talents etc.)

Anyway even in the qualifications when both teams played the same time, I chose to watch Germany. Hell, I was rooting only for them until WC 1982. It would feel strange to do otherwise...

The more I read about the upcoming World Cup in terms of the hosting nation, the less sensible it seems to hold it in Brazil...

I think it is fine. If I could I wouldn't think twice about going as I have been there a number of times and though you have to be careful, as many other places tbh, there are many forces working against the WC internally.

Either way even if you love your country or have fallen out of love with it, talk trashing it is the last disservice I think I would do.

Fulltime : Jordan 0-5 Uruguay
Cavani was quite amazing + his freekick rocket goal.
I really like seeing them play, Forlan + Suarez + Cavani.

I'm just disappointed, not even angry (okay, maybe a little angry).
Goals 1-4 WHAT THE EVER-LIVING F*CK WAS THAT? We had a #9 defending for goal 2!
Honestly these Hassan brothers can go eat one while they're at it, and everyone in charge of firing Hamad can go swallow 13 dicks. No defensive order, no attacking order, no midfield, no tactics, nothing.
The goalkeeper was more like a placeholder, Hassan managed to screw up call ups too. And the defense... Oh my god...
The ref was also a TWAT, terrible decision making in general, a penalty at 2-0 down would have salvaged us SOMETHING.
Good on you Uruguay, good on you.

Jordans superstar GK was missing and the coach has started a goalkeeper who is not even his clubs number 1 !!!!

And that Cavani free kicks was class and with the Kraft-Like Statue reflex of the GK (AvatarX will relate :wink) .. JUST WOW

However all goals were results of stupid individual mistakes
But in general ,Jordans national team has vastly improved and i hope that reaching the last step of the Qualifiers becomes a standard rather than a one time lucky shot

Well, it was Uruguay. Surely you guys weren't expecting such a big miracle to happen, did you? Losing in playoffs suck, and you had the right to dream, but really it wasn't a surprising result.

Well yeah
I mean cavani and Suarez are destroying european top teams so it was quite obvious that they were faaar superior

The thing that is bad is that Jordan played surprisingly well and we had our chances too ,but those consistent little mistakes killed us

Uruguay had 7 chances ... 5 went in and 2 waaaaay above goal

And actually when Jordan were trailing 0-3 they had more shots than Uruguay

This is what makes this loss even worse

The thing is, I'm not disappointed by the result or even the score, but rather how it was achieved.

Still unsure why we had to throw Mexico a life-line.... I would have much prefered the kiwis in Brazil :|
