I just hope that Germany can give Alaba a helping hand to reach the play-offs.

Three times I think (not sure). The first goal was also unlucky, although it's a terrible mistake more than luck.

Shame about the fact we'll undeniably get pooed on by Uruguay.

Well done for your feat and good luck. However it is still something special to reach that stage.
My country is very unlucky cause we'll never achieve something similar. With all due respect I believe that if we had to compete in any other confederation bar, Africa & S.America and N.America we will stand a chance.

Tahiti got to play in the Confederations Cup and I'm sure we could put 5 past them.

The only way we will ever have a chance in UEFA is if they get rid of the seeding system.

Cape Verde lose World Cup spot
The Cape Verde Islands have lost their place in the last round of African World Cup qualifiers after fielding an ineligible player, FIFA said.
Instead Tunisia, who the Cape Verdians upset 2-0 in a shock result on Saturday, advance to the playoff rounds in October and November.

Well, Cape Verde won the match against Equatorial Guinea because it was forfeited due to the latter fielding an ineligible player. Now Cape Verde did the same thing against Tunisia, fielding a player who was suspended for 4 matches. Regulations are the same for everyone. Imagine if Cape Verde were not punished, it would have been unfair to Equatorial Guinea.

Well it's harsh, but what else can you do?

Still, FIFA should punish the CAF. This incident seems to happen regularly so I would say they are also at fault.

I still do not get it.
How can a national team field a player who is suspended? Doesn't the match official get a roster before the game and he has to approve it before the players jump on the field? In our 9 year old kids' regional league teams have match day rsoters and player passes and I have to hear that at an official FIFA match for World Cup qualification african nations find a way aorund it?
I mean mistakes can happen, sometimes absurd mistakes (I remember that Betis fielded 12 players by mistake in a regular La Liga match in the 80's) but this stuff in Africa seems to be the norm now.
