Vahid Halilhodžić demostrated how great coach he is. For the last 15 years the best who comes from Balkan region in my opinion. He knows how to win against great teams and he's proved that on this World Cup. It was actually disgrace 4 years ago what Cote d'Ivore made this guy by sacking him after one defeat in friendly match just 3-4 months before the start in South Africa.

I think he can do it with Alegria. They look great under his command.

I think where Germany is incomplete is in the need to play players out of position. Howedes as a fullback is not ideal (Boateng to an extent as well). Our wingers are not wingers by trade. We do not field a true striker. The strength of the Germans is in their great individual quality (what other team could afford to bench a Schweinsteiger or a Gotze?) and ability to come together as a team and play very well, but to me they're not the most "complete" team.

And what team is more complete then if they're not? Boateng playing in RB is nothing new, LB has always been a problem, our philosophy is 'doesn't matter how many goals we concede, we'll score at least one more than the opponents'(forget Ghana), playing a superior football.

So, it looks like Suarez will be suspended for the remaining of this tournament, and the ban might reach two years.

RIP Liverpool.

What is this guy smoking #-o Classic South American player though, ruining his own brilliant career with his personal demons.

So do you think that the ban will not be limited to international games? - IMO it is not fair...

I agree it doesn't seem fair. The most prominent precedence we have is Zidane's and he retired for NT duty shortly after the incident.

"The longest suspension for an on-field action at the World Cup is eight games, to Mauro Tassotti of Italy in 1994 for breaking the nose of a Spanish player with his elbow. " [source]

I think he was given until today at 5 pm local time to present his case and supporting evidence. Even then, I'm not sure exactly what is he going to present; I mean other than Chiellini's blood type confirmation.

Damn this World Cup! You can't tune in late; you can't leave early! Argentina Nigeria 1-1 in like four minutes!

If Nigeria win, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Colombia, France, Argentina, Germany and Algeria/Belgium will all be on one side of the KO phase. :o

Messi is pure genius. Outstanding player.

I'm still not sold on Argentina, I don't think Messi alone is enough to win them the WC.

Messi fanboys saying he's just saving himself for the WC might be proven right after all.

I would agree with this. They played better today, but there are several teams I'd pick over Argentina at this point.

Argentina definitely have flaws but they finally have a leader in Messi, he is stepping up to the challenge.
