I agree, Brazil look pretty unimpressive compared to what I, and many of us, had expected. I think Germany, France, and Italy look the best so far. I am reserving judgment on the Netherlands, don't want to jump the gun on them but I do have high hopes. With that in mind, we might see a European team win outside their own continent after all, and wouldn't that be neat?
Unfortunately, I'm not so optimistic about Croatia ahead of Cameroon and the last match against Mexico.
Our WC final is today/tomorrow against Cameroon and if we don't win against the African team, we don't have anything to do in Brazil.
Mexico are great team, they have always been a great nation which perform great in World Cups. Their national pride, passion, character... When you play against them, you can't expect easy win and they proved that in the last 15 years when Brazil won just 4-5 matches against them, only one in period between 1999-2007(Mexico won 15 games vs BRA in that period) and after some 3-4 wins from what I've heard from the Croatian analyst before BRA-MEX match and I remember since I watched some games which Mexico won.
Croatia must win both matches. Mexico since 2002 is always passing the group stage. It's about time for my country to play something worth on one World Cup after 1998 and bronze generation in France. Our best performances after 1998 were on Euro Cup, but not on World Cup.
"Ein Trainer sehen, was passieren in Platz. In diese Spiel es waren zwei, drei oder vier Spieler, die waren schwach wie eine Flasche leer!"
I feel bad for Croatia already. They certainly got screwed against Brazil, deserved a tie and if they got it everything would be different. That said, I expect them to beat Cameroon handily. Then the last game with Mexico becomes a playoff which I think would be likely to end in a tie, but players like Rakitic and Modric feeding Mandzukic, it's certainly going to be interesting
