I still think we played quite well all things considered.

How did we play well? Apart from the goal which was practically a gift from Casteels we barely even came close to scoring at all, with Wolfsburg missing an open goal and a 1 vs 1 with Neuer.

I didn't see Alonso playing that bad today at all. He certainly had more control over the game than Thiago.
Benatia did a lot more crap at the back too.
It's too bad he missed his penalty, but he didn't have a bad game over all imo

You are right, but someone younger and more dynamic could have been better at the first half. No reason to keep playing Xabi for 90 minutes every game. And those Pep substitutions were disgusting.

We are definitively still far in preseason mode...

He is a punching bag right now but he did not show anything at all, was he a starter for any nice action on the field today? He just was there like Thiago and that's all.

Alonso has been cancer since weeks. Just because he might have been better than Thiago, who was terrible today aswell, doesn't mean he was good. He's dogshit since weeks.

I don't think any player would have helped us in the first half, as our entire idea for the game was hopeless. We played higher and 4 at the back (it looked like it at least) in the second half and our game over all looked much better, we even had 10-15 good minutes after the goal.

The only thing that pisses me off is that our coach has been here for 2 years, and we still don't seem to have a clear picture of what we are trying to play. We should be at the stage where we are working on the issues with our game (you know, like crosses, set pieces, counter-attacks) and coming up with plan Bs. Yet we still don't seem to have a plan A to begin with. We are not fixing issues, we are coming up with new ideas and concepts every other week. I don't think there's any chance we can be successful like this.

I think at the start of the season, as much as i'm not Peps biggest fan, its better to take the positive out of these sorts of games as its only the curtain raiser of the season. Lots of our players actually had pretty good games, and the only mistakes that were truly made were tactical ones near the end.

Costa looks like a great pick up, and I think Robben is looking good which is really important for us. I still think Muller, Lewandowski is a great paring, No one came off injured which coming from last year is a great thing :P Another bonus is Dante didn't give away any goals 8)

I don't think losing the SuperCup on penalties is really that bad, and I don't think its a sign of our impending doom.

Alonso playing every minute is a problem, but the biggest one is our tactics.
3-4-2-1 clearly is not working. It didn't last season (at least at the key stages), and there is no improvement, as we saw tonight. Go back to 4-2-3-1, please. Enough of this annoying crap.

Maybe it's just the Supercup but it hurts to lose this way. Another last-minute goal and then to penalties. Seeing Müller sitting on that box... it was clear we would lose. Neuer too didn't appear as calm as he usually does before a shoot-out.

There were some bright moments when we looked really strong (Costa!!) but most of the time our play was like a book without a plot.

Btw, do the Audi Cup matches have extra time?

This game is a perfect example of why I want Alonso gone. don't get me wrong, he would make a great sub/rotational player but Pep is obsessed with playing him for the whole game every game, and as long as he is on the roster he will be doing exactly that...

I'm glad he missed that fűcking penalty, just came as a reminder that he doesn't belong in the starting 11 anymore and I hope he'll make so many mistakes and cost us so many goals and points so we can finally see what happens when you insist on raping common sense by being a nepotist for the whole fűcking 2015.

Everything comes with a reason and it did come tonight, too. Force us to watch such an insolence... Puši kurac idiote!
