............I'm utterly disappointed. First time in 68(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) years Romania loses to Albania. This has to be one of the worst generations to ever wear the yellow jersey. These players are inexprimably weak, both technically and psychically.
Such a disgrace what happened tonight. A full and loud congratulations for Albania for the way they played tonight. They wanted to go through, unlike our team. Kudos to them. To us... Yeah, nothing left to say.

If two teams have just played to a draw in their third group game, and they are level on points and goal difference and goals scored, they would go to penalties.)

But yellow cards makes a lot of sense, especially in this day and age of some very cynical football. Foot-stomping (or stamping as they say in England) has been rampant. The only thing that concerns me is yellow cards depend a lot on the particular ref. Some are more lenient/harsh than others. But for a final tiebreaker, I can't think of anything better.

I hope that Portugal miss out simply thanks to Quaresma's yellow card for bitching at the ref. That would be beautiful.

I think the main problem was your attack... and the creation of clear cut chances...
The best move of the tournament was against France when the score was still 0-0 I think, It was when the attacker was alone and had a chance to score from a scissor kick.

P.S Well done to Albania ... were they lucky against both Fra and Swi they could have had two more points...
De Biasi an Italian singing the Albanian NT was a lesson for all ... =D>

I find him very likable, not because he sings the national anthem... but IMO he's doing a great job with that team. He adapted there really well, connected with the people and culture... and singing the national anthem just proves it. People are mentioning him for the Italian national team seat...

That looks upside down of what the table "should" be in terms of the strentgh of the teams. It's nice to see this.

Last night Memushaj had an impressive MOTM performance, he's receiving praise from different media outlets. He's the captain of Pescara, the newly promoted Serie A side...

So, tonight is the night. Our oponent is England, young and motivated. It will be hard, very hard.
I hope for draw and then move to the next round. 8)

This 100%. Been saying it since before the tournament. Their clubs are dominating European football so why should their national team be any different?. But "oh they had a bad world cup". So what, that was two years ago and they have a few new players now

For anyone who can't get enough Euro, Amazon.com has an incredible kindle book called "The Complete History of the European Championship" by Robert Fielder. I bought it last night. At $6.99 USD it is an incredible bargain. It is 853 pages and has detailed narratives of EVERY Euro match ever, including qualifiers, through Euro 2012.

I'm in the USA, so I'm not sure of its availability or price elsewhere, but if you can grab it at a similar price, do so.

(Just in case anyone wonders: I have no business, family, or friend relationship with the author or publisher or anything like that.)

No IMO
Spain the firm favorites followed by lucky France and lucky Italy ...
England and Croatia the other who could arrive in the final...

I've been joking with my friends by telling them that in order to make all Maltese football fans angry Spain just need to defeat England in a Euro final...
45% of the pop support Italy (defeated in 2012) another 45% support England and 8% support Germany (defeated in 2008) the other 2% divided between Brazil, Holland and Spain.

Not true. Spain is one of the favorites. After taking Pedro, Xabi and Xavi out, they were left with the best squad in the competition. Germany would have a similar quality squad if they had Gündogan, Reus and Lahm (even without Lahm they would if they had a proper replacement).
