According to French papers, 28 scumbags are arrested. They are faced with 20 years of prison. They will face the French court, French laws and de facto they will be tried for the act of terrorism and the assault on firefighter.

20 years is nothing, less than 40 years is a reward.

I wish the Bild would stop calling Italy the "Italien Opas". It's bound to come and bite them on the backside should they meet later on

Poland proved the theory about the 2nd game and Slavic countries right again... so is it the second game or Slavic countries?

No. Just no. Germany finds it very hard when the opposing team shuts the game down completely. Are you really of opinion that Spain would that should they play against Germany? Defend with the whole team? They wouldn't. And if they'd try their possession game, then they'd have to play very high up the pitch and we've seen in a particular semifinal in Brazil what happens when a team defends high up the pitch against Germany

A top half PL side v a bottom half PL side right now. Needless to say I'm not bothering with that one, especially as Hull City's Meyler is again left out for RoI

I wonder if you actually watched the game if you're calling what happened under the umbrella "possession game" terms. Spain bombarded the box with crosses (and it worked), they also constantly released Juanfran and Alba on overlaps. If next someone calls that tiki-taka, then I'm going to have to start punching people in the mouth. That fact is that Spain is a very well rounded side, whose defensive four (in total, I'm not calling anyone a better defender than Boateng here  ) easily matches and then some that of the rest of the sides in the tournament. In midfield, none of Kroos, Khedira and Özil can hold a candle to Iniesta in current form. Only in offense do a few question marks remain, I'm not convinced of Nolito's quality for example.

The bottom line, though, is that Germany is facing issues all across the squad that Spain doesn't even come close to. And that's a problem for die Mannschaft with the Bundes-sniffer in charge. :|

Big, big difference between Brazil and Spain.

You can bet your house that Spain will dominate possession and control in every match this tournament. They are in the right form, and they have the best midfield, the best defence, but crucially - the most technical team in the tournament. It is a given that the Spanish will adhere to their scientific principles hence their status as favourites as of today.
