I remember a similar situation for Germany... but I am not going to mention when...

Weigl and Chan have played more consistently than Fussballgott and Khedira in this year...

He's a big loss. I guess Gotze will be back with Draxler returning to the wing.

This will be the end of the line for us..

Not necessarily. It's the position where a team can afford to have an invisible player most at this stage. Ronaldo and Giroud haven't exactly been much better.

Speaking of which, Giroud is on a yellow. He'd better be careful, we don't want him to be suspended.

Don't forget that the Kingdom of the Netherlands lost to Iceland twice.

So the question is, are France finally in form or are Iceland finally playing at their true level?

Germany put 4 past England and Argentina (way more impressive than Iceland) and still lost to Spain in 2010. Doesn't mean a thing for the SF except maybe make them overconfident.

France are good at creating chances and scoring, but when under pressure, they can make silly mistakes in defence.

it is going to be really tough for Ger.
No e.t for France...
They will have to two extra fresh players in Kante and Rami(the former will be very very imp addition to them) Germany should work on set pieces where fra seem to suffer the most.

By the way I am not giving too much attention to the match I am seeing some impressive fireworks

Yeah in the second half especially their defence looks really easy to get past. Germany will need someone on form in the box to convert chances...

I am also worried about the fact that most French players have an african background and Ger always struggles against African teams. (Ghana and Algeria are perfect examples)
