I've seen Yesil miss three sitters in the second half so far. And Can is playing damn well.

So future's bright for Bayern, at least. :P

Burkina Faso 0-3 Germany

Koray GUENTER (4')
Levent AYCICEK (26' PEN)
Mitchell WEISER (64')

The epic freekick leading to the first goal was taken by our very own Emre Can and headed down by Samed Yesil.

So the Panama-Germany game is on, and what a goal by Aydin! From 30 metres out right in the top corner. Great shot.

Ooh, red card for the goal scorer Aydin. Studs up challenge to the shins, can't really argue with it.

I'm liking Can's play more and more. I can see why he's called the "most complete player" - he really seems to be at ease with every role, whether it be tackling, dribbling, passing or aerial play. He's got a very noticeable presence and influence too, thanks to his sturdy build. He could make the breakthrough for Bayern, indeed.

Of course Germany! with a complete record of 9 points and a +10 goal difference...
We'll face USA in the next round I guess... too bad Aydin won't be playing...

Ribery on Lisandro 2.0

This guys are making a great tournament. They don't play fantastic but they are the most effective team I've ever seen. They just score when they need to. And every player can make the difference. Even the wing backs.

Germany has scored a lot of awesome goals in this Cup. =D>

They are being much better than in the Euro U17 a few months ago

Actually... I really liked their playing style... they all defended as a team, and in offense, they were fast and numerous, and they pressed the opponent's defenders in their own half... there are a lot of promising talents in our side...

But our defense was not as stable as one would expect... especially against long balls, we looked like having a few Brenos in our back line!

MUTU wrote:WTF how did Yesil NOT score?

Well he has a few very good chances... but he missed them... and if I'm not mistaken he had a shot hit the crossbar in the first half... then he got subbed out when we lost a man to that stupid foul...

Check out the goal from German U-17 "tormeister" Okan Aydin, what an awesome shot!!
He also had a great goal in the match v Ecuador.

Germany's next match is in the round of 16 against USA, with the winner of this match facing the winner between Argentina and England in the quarterfinals.

Germany are now 2nd in the outright bookmaker odds, despite missing Aydin to suspension (he was sent off in the last match).
