Teams participating in matches sanctioned by the FIGC (i.e. in Italy) will now be allowed to have up to 12 subs. I think the idea is to promote youth development.

What's the meaning of this? 12 players on bench and still 3 can be used for subs? I remember when 5 players were sitting on EPL benches, but this... Beyond 10 everything it's silly.

Yep. Like I said it is probably to give them the chance to have more young playerd on the bench

At least, their teams will look like national teams with 23 players in the offical list for matches.

I remember back in the day you were only allowed three subs and the foreigners in your match day squad.

That was before 1995 and Bosman. But after him everything has changed in football and he became football Christopher Columbus, forgotten person who create money factory from that sport. :)
