That was shocking defending on Brazil's second goal. How the hell do you let a simple 2-metre pass unlock your whole defense like that in the 90th minute while you're leading 2-1?

And I, repeatedly, fail to see what makes Neymar worth 45 million. Let's keep in mind that would be the 7th or 8th highest transfer fee paid for a player in football history.

Well, to be honest, club stars are failing all across Copa America, so it's not just Neymar, who had a brilliant club season.

Agree. Now I don't know how he plays for his club, but whenever I've seen him he was bad. I don't think he's ever going to become world-class, judging by what I have seen myself, despite the fact that he's tipped to become the best player in the world

Still, Messi will win Ballon d'Or for the third year in a row, despite he can't even inspire his NT (not lead all the way like Maradona did, or like Forlan did with Uruguay in WC2010)...

Of course he is a great player, but in my book a really top player has to be a top player despite the team he is playing in ...

That was a damn epic game, plenty of drama to be found.

Uruguay was damn lucky that Perez wasn't sent off for his first tackle, let alone the thousand ones after that. But they did fight a lot harder, Argentina played with any urgency only in the last 10 minutes of ET. And it was nice to see Muslera make a save, he had one hell of a game.

As for Messi, I have to agree to a certain extent. It would definitely be unjustified to call him a flop, because he played damned well yesterday, but he's absolutely not a game changer for Argentina, and that's what a Ballon d'or winner should be doing.

Robben is a game changer for Netherlands. If only he can stay not-injured for one season. 8)

Haha, all four teams were the underdogs in their matches.

Well, at least we can get the news on Vidal quicker now.

Well, congrats to the winners, and I hope Uruguay gets another title.

Its crazy how the two teams everyone thought would be in the final are dumped out (Argentina, Brazil) -- but penalty shootouts are like that.
