First Pizarro, now Farfán. Peruvian football fans are crying FOUL! Jefferson Farfán got injured Saturday in a preparation match against the same team Peru´s NT is using as preparation for Copa América: Sporting Cristal, U-20. First diagnostic is NOT GOOD. He is doubtful but not entirely confirmed out. Not yet at least.

Peruvian imports from Germany are having a hard time coping back. Hmmm, I wouln´t mind a few preparation matches for Dortmund against the fine under 20 folks at Sporting Cristal....

To be honest, Brazil played awful too. First half it looked better, but the second one had Venezuela more likely to score. They desperately need a good playmaker, which is odd from the land of no. 10s. Why not use Neymar there, he was the only good player today.

TBH the referee in the Brazil game was awful. There were so many situations ( the handballs, offsides, that cancelled play that would have allowed Venezuela o be clean on goal etc.) where even Michael J. Fox would have been more relaxed and taken the right decisions.

Today Tomas Rincon (Hamburg) reminded me Schweini during the world cup, he and Rosales (Twente) was the main reason of why Brasil didnt scored.

Juan Arango (Monchengladbach) was very lazy as usual in the last year.

Orozco (Wolsfburg) , did not played.

Duriing the match. the two commentators actually had a lenghty discussion on which Brazilian had the "craziest" hair do. Alves was definately the front runner besides Robinho and Neymar

Yeah, and he was completely unremarkable all of the time.

Also, there was no handball, don't be silly. He blocked the ball with his shoulder. The commentator said it best: "If you were scratching that part of your body, you wouldn't say "I'm scratching my hand", would you?"

Handball does not only count when the alledged hand interferes with play. Handball is also signaled when the ARM of a player interferes with the ball. (After writing this I realized I'm not the only guy in the world who knows this  )
In my opinion this is not only his shoulder, but a great deal of the arm too.

How about this one, this is not handball?

No, it's shoulder. There's not even any argument here, the ball hit his shoulder. For further reference, please consult this page.
