For me best player on the pitch was Sebastion Rudy. Wow what a steal getting him on our team and noone not even you lads here were talking about him in a start 11. Great defensive work, fantasctic long balls, very few mistakes.
2nd best Ribery atleast first half. Some of you mates say hes getting too old, guess he heard you all and is coming in with a vengance! Fantasctic dribbling first half, bot ran out of gas. still his whole preseason has been top notch.
Besides a few brain farts like that first goal which martinez is not alone to be blamed for. They have a free kick and without thinking do the typical short tap to next player without even looking around you where dortmund had like 6 players within 10 meters. Poor throw ins as well, and not optimal movement off the ball for triangle possession and movement forward.
I am overall real happy with the performance and oh my this has got to be the deepest talent team of all time for bayern.
I dont like Martinez as CB and Vidal making many dumb mistakes out there, should see the bench a few times.
Statistics are like miniskirts . What they reveal is tantalizing, but what they hide is crucial.

Muller's career began before 26 August 2016(First Bundesliga game this season) and continued after10 December 2016. Attacking a player for "under performing" for 4 months 8 months after said under performance has ended is a real class act.

Anyways, takeaways from this game:
1. Rudy is class
2. "Muller always plays" remain the wisest words that LVG ever spoke, and we need a coach who understands that. The last time that we had a coach who played him every single possible minute of big games was 2012/13.
3. Rafinha is a good LB(managed to keep Dembele quiet). Definitely better there than Bernat, at least from a defensive perspective.
4. We actually managed to play exciting, attacking football in a 4-3-3. I didn't know that this was possible.
5. Kimmich and Rafinha would make good wingbacks. We should reconsider the 4-3-2-1
6. Javi Martinez remains a little shaky, and Sule is still young and inexperienced. I'm still not happy with our depth at the CB position.
7. We have players not named Lewandowski who can take penalties.
8. I'm happy with the result because we historically perform very poorly in away Supercup games in Dortmund.

Poor Götze. He's lost the Supercup around 10 or 15 times

Haha, I forgot about this. Last year I detailed his losses. He's never won it and has played in it almost every year.

If we had penalty takers like yesterday, Bayern could have won the CL in 2012 and 2016.

Just say'n.

My God the wardrobe's penalty was f*cking awesome. Rudy's too.

just watched the game replay. We got better this time but still feel not really comfortable on the passing game. We're missing 2 precious pieces of winning formula: Thiago and Robben. During the game, there was no creative fluid in the middle and no hypnotized dribbles from the right wing.

Tolisso, Thiago and Rudy should be the key combo for us in midfield, Vidal is good for defense and mentality but he tends to lose the ball too much.

We're definitely not ready for Champion League, still need time to fix some areas.
