Well, bad news first - we're crap all over and I don't really see what our plans going forward or backward is. A bit of it is funnily enough Pep's fault - it was he, after all, who devised the plan to expose Hummels so mercilessly via long balls that Tuchel is copying beat-by-beat.
The Hummels-Lahm channel is leaking like a sieve, being responsible for 3-4 clear chances conceded, and only Neuer has kept us in the game. Going forward we have Lewandowski and Müller utterly anonymous.
As for the positives, I am liking the newfound creative freedom that so far only Thiago has been really able to tap into. Guardiola probably overcoached some automations in the players' repertoire that are now being thrown to the wayside. It's especially weird with Thiago, who seems to be having so much fun with his supposed mentor hundreds of kilometres away from München. The lack of tactical discipline has brought positives and negatives in that regard.
Still, one would like us to get our shit together in the second half. Right now we've been thoroughly outplayed and are lucky to be in the game.
