Agreed. Frankly if we hadn't won the shootout, I would have had no complaints - we rode our luck at times in defense (even if so did they). But the narrative fits, with only Robben missing.

Chelsea played perfectly in my eyes, they did exactly what they needed to do. That's why I was pissed...everybody knew they would play like this and we totally assisted them during the first half. We played exactly the way they needed us to.

Like I said, we need Martinez AND Schweini in our midfield, and we should be ok. We'll still have a lot of work to do, but it's a good start.

I think it was also quite apparent that the minute Alaba and Lahm started moving out to the wings and playing crosses, our attacking game got a lot more dangerous. Also something we did a lot more last year than we do since Pep, another thing we shouldn't change imo...

SUPER BAYERN !!!!!!! Unbelievable, we couldn't have asked for a more fitting revenge. Perfect. Both teams played very well but in the end one team has to win and kudos to our ultra's. They were amazing. We need to sort out our problem with them because we will need them for out home game.

At some point, I thought the match was played in Allianz Arena. Our supporters were just amazing.
Not so great game from us, Pep still needs to work on us. Ribery's shot was out of this world and in the end, we got lucky.
I hope, that this gives our boys a HUGE mentality boost. We have two weeks until our next game, i hope we will be a running machine by then.

Most exciting Bayern game i have watched since last years UCL final, i was on the edge of my seat for every damn second of it. Here is a small breakdown of this game:

Cons:Today the defense was very very poor! The worst part is Pep's system is not at fault, many players were positioned badly especially in Hazard's goal when no one stepped up. No one was marking Torres when he scored and several other blunders. Someone has to tell me what Dante is smoking because he is not even half the player he was a year ago. I guess it would be harsh to blame him for the slip but that was only one out of several times this season he has almost cost Bayern a win, and the worst part is we are only 5 or 6 games in to the season! I pray Badstuber can make a full recovery and be just as good as he was before he got injured. Gotze once again was silent hopefully during the two week break he will be fully adjusted. Once again finishing was a major problem in the final third; whether it was a bad pass, bad touch, or lack of movement for some reason Bayern are having trouble putting the ball in the back of the net!

Pros:FINALLY BAYERN WIN ON PKS! After weeks of watching horrid PK attempts it seems like the players have come to terms with their demons and taken great PKs To be honest their isnt much to say since the fact that Bayern won is good enough JK The one pro and probably the only one worth talking about is JAVI MARTINEZ!!! As soon as he was subbed in he made an instant impact! He made great tackles, won almost all his ariel challenges, was a physical presence in the box and set pieces and most important he gave Bayern's midfield that extra steel its been lacking. I have nothing against Schweinstiger he will always be a major figure for Bayern but if Pep feels Martinez is superior to Schwienstiger as the lone DM then he must be ready to bench him. I am probably gonna get a lot of hate but this half injured Martinez played better in one half than Schweinstiger who had 4 or 5 games in! Im serious Martinez is the perfect DM for Pep's system, he is great on the ball, passing range equal to Schwein's imo but makes better challenges and still is able to make an impact offensively from a deep position. Next up is the best GK in the world Manuel Neuer! His defenders were playing so horribly that he had to put that "S" on his chest and make some SUPER save! Then he caps it off by saving the last PK to win Bayern the trophy! Btw did anyoen here those Bayern supports? SUPER BAYERN!!! SUPER BAYERN!!!! HEY!!! HEY!!!!!

P.S I probably left some things/players out but these points were the major components of the match, im sure Bazi, quazzi, or Badger can create a better review than I

If Neuer scored that, it would have been the best goal of all time.
