I love the new kit so much, Neuer's is good too - he suits red.

Just finished watching the match on ESPN - SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!

Oh and I had to pause the game to take this photo of the screen because Jupp just looks so shifty

Pros:
Ill admit it Mandzukic is the man linked well wit the midfield, Kroos and Gustavo werent too bad together, Muller was everywhere and attacked well down the middle and didnt drift wide all the time, Dante and Boateng were solid, and Robben was killer once again

Cons:
I thought i was watching the 2010-11 quarter final game vs inter milan second leg when they won after Bayern were up 2-1 at half the whole team was lost, Gustavo made some very reckless challenges and cud have cost the team the game if he was sent off, Can shud not play LB nor Badstuber, and Bayern still suck at set pieces i saw some good oppurtunities wasted and bad D

What caused problems to dortmund was mandzukic, they used to mArk our slow poacher gomez which should be easy for hummels and subotic. But now, we changed to a quick striker who is both good with his feet and air.

I actually much enjoyed watching can playing LB. We was such a tank there in my eyes.
Jesus saves, but Kahn does it better ;)

It's amazing that two people watching one game can form two totally different opinions. I thought he was a liability there. He wanted far too much time on the ball, too many touches and gave it away cheaply. A couple of times he was beaten as if he wasn't even there. Then there was that idiotic tackle on Kuba which could easily have led to a red card, and I think Heynckes saw this and took him off just as Dortmund were taking control of the game, as one f*ck up by Can and it was a red card or goal to Dortmund. That being said, he's just a stop-gap there due to injuries.

Any, my more detailed thoughts on the game.

1) First half was magnificent, we totally dominated and controlled them, Mandzukic link-up play clearly worked better against Dortmund than having Gomez isolated on his own against them.

2) Can, disappointing, see my initial comments, but not overly concerned about this.

3) Still clearly lacking a CAM, and Mueller isn't the man for there.

4) Dante is pretty solid, though looked suspect on set pieces when up against forwards with lots of movement.

5) Heynckes still doesn't seem to want to use his bench enough. Brought in Tymo a bit too late and I was disappointed only to see Shaqiri get 5 minutes.

6) Thank f*ck we never got beat as, that would have set us on the road to overreaction and crisis!!!

About Mandzukic, his playing reminded me a lot of Klose for the NT. Hopefully this was not a one-off performance and he will keep playing like that and improve. If he does, then we are in an excellent position as far as strikers are concerned. We have the proven and one of the best in the world Gomez, then on those games where he can't do anything Mandzukic is there to shift things up, and Pizarro is great for a third choice.

The question is, will Heynckes start Mandzukic in those games or will he stick with Gomez and substitute Mandzu in the last 10 minutes as always hoping for a miracle ?
