Robben running

Postby FCBayernNews » Sat Aug 13, 2016 12:25 pm

Arjen Robben has taken the next step in his sports rehab programme. On Saturday morning the Dutchman turned in a few laps of the Säbener Strasse facility. Robben sustained a groin muscle injury in the friendly away to Lippstadt four weeks ago.

Welz in charge

Tobias Welz will be the man with the whistle for the Supercup final between FC Bayern and Borussia Dortmund. The 39-year-old policeman from Wiesbaden has taken charge of 13 Bundesliga fixtures involving the Reds, ten of which ended in a Bayern win. However, Sunday's encounter will be the first match between Bayern and Borussia Welz oversees. His assistants will be Rafael Foltyn and Dr Martin Thomsen, with Tobias Stieler acting as fourth official.

A chance for kids

Just like in the last few years, the Bundesliga Foundation will offer a diverse supporting programme for the Supercup final on Sunday. This time the motto “A chance for every child” will draw attention to children in need.
