Heynckes impressed - James back in training

Postby FCBayernNews » Wed Nov 29, 2017 3:00 pm

Rafinha crossed from the right, Jérôme Boateng rising to meet the ball, his header finding the net. "Superb," said Jupp Heynckes in Wednesday morning's shooting drill, "very strong from both of you." The 72-year-old was impressed by the work his men turned in.

The Bayern pros trained for 90 minutes on the Säbener Strasse training ground. Heynckes and his staff had prepared a demanding session so his men were not cold despite temperatures near zero. Boateng & Co had a lot of running to do, quickly working up a sweat. More and more players took off their hats and gloves as time went by.

Hard work

The Bavarians had lots of fun despite the high intensity, chasing after every ball, going for the one-on-ones. Joshua Kimmich asked if he could take more shots when the session was over, and the 22-year-old was not the only one to turn in extra work.

The Bavarians display lots of fun and commitment in their preparations for the match against Hannover. "We have to show a reaction," commented Franck Ribéry on last weekend's defeat as he left the training ground. The Frenchman, Rafinha and James Rodríguez completed the full squad programme after recovering from their knocks and injuries. Robert Lewandowski turned in an individual session in the performance centre.
