Draw for Eindhoven

Postby FCBayernNews » Sun Oct 16, 2016 12:05 pm

PSV Eindhoven were restricted to a point in their final warm-up match before Wednesday's Champions League encounter with FC Bayern. Heracles Almelo, lying 13th in the table, held the Dutch champions to a 1-1 draw in the domestic league. The result means PSV slip to fourth place in the Eredivisie. Table-toppers Feyenoord would extend their lead to nine points if they win their match on Sunday.

The 33,000 crowd at the Philips Stadion saw Eindhoven dominate proceedings but fail to create chances at first. Samuel Armenteros even put Almelo in the lead shortly before the interval, but PSV'S Gastón Pereiro (picture) levelled the scores almost immediately. Eindhoven created a number of good chances in the second half, but another goal refused to come.

PSV line-up against Almelo:

Zoet - Brenet, Schwaab, Moreno, Willems - S. de Jong (Zinchenko 71), Pröpper, Ramselaar (Lammers 90) - Pereiro, L. de Jong, Bergwijn (Narsingh 84)

No one ever calls them Eindhoven, always PSV ;) Mostly because there's also an FC Eindhoven.
