Most of you remember the game from last year. A prediction game for all FCB games during this year.

Let's see if dambun can defend his title (and let's see how all those wannabe winners - ex. Mutu, Element and his brother etc. go)

Rules are more or less known, but here's a recap:


Before each FCB game, we predict the final score.
A prediction is valid only if it is entered 5 minutes before game starts.

After each game, we'll add the points earned and adjust the User Ranking. Points System is the following:


Game Points

Points for correct score 3 (For example predict 3-0 and the result is 3-0 award 3 points)
Points for guessing a draw 1 (For example predict 2-2 and the result is 1-1 award 1 points)
Wrong score but predicted a win 2 (For example predict 1-0 and the result is 2-0 award 2 points)

Points above are not cumulative, for example predict 2-2 and the result is 2-2, you gain 3 points, NOT 4 points

Bonus points
Points for correct number of goals 1 (For example predict 3-0 and the result is 3-1 award extra 1 points)
Points for correct goal difference 1 (For example predict 5-3 and the result is 3-1 award extra 1 points)

Bonus points are cumulative.

The prediction is for the final score, not only 90 minutes. So, if for example the CL final vs Barca ends 2-2, goes to extra time (no goals) and penalties (5-4 in our favor) the correct prediction would be Bayern - Barca 7-6. Same goes for Cup games, or knockout rounds of CL. It is more difficult to predict the final score, but I am pretty sure that even then someone may have predict it right.

Also in case of a tie breaker between players, the one with the most absolute correct predictions (6 points) wins it.

At the end of 2011-2012 year we'll see who is the season winner.

I didn't take part in the last one, so sure, I'll give it a go this year. The bonus points system seems a bit odd to me though, as apparently one could get the same amount of points for predicting a 3-1 win correctly as one would when predicting a 2-0 win for that 3-1 game (2 points for predicting a win, 1 point for goal difference). Seems a bit unfair, I mean, if you get the scoreline right, you should get the maximum amount of points available, right?

No, if the result is 3-1, and someone has predicted that, he will get:

2 points for win + 1 point goals difference + 1 point for predicting 3 goals for first team + 1 point for predicted 1 goal for the second team (Bonus points are cumulative), so 6 points total, while the one who has predicted a 2-0 will get 3 points.

Ah, I didn't think about bonus points when you get the scoreline right. Ok, I'm game.
